Don’t get me wrong. I love the cold weather, just from inside a nice cozy room! Cold temps make my body ache.
It’s full-on winter blast here in Midwest Ohio and I’m not a fan to be out in it. But give me a warm room, a big picture window to look out of, and a hot cup of coffee and I’m good to go. I’m in my early sixties and I’ve earned the right to stay inside. I’ve done the standing outside in cold temps, scraping off the ice and snow from my vehicle for more years than I care to count. Now, I am fortunate enough to be able to relax in the comfort of my home with my car in the garage. Life is good!!
Choose Your Perspective
It’s all about perspective. Life is good if you think it is or life can be bad if that’s your focus. The pages on this site are here to encourage you and help you get a good perspective. I’m here to teach a little character and virtue, to help you become the best version of yourself.
Winter is not my favorite season, although, I do love a good snow storm and having to shut down and stay inside for a day or two. It forces us to slow down and realize we don’t have to be busy 24/7. It also can teach us to be prepared and plan ahead. We need to make sure we have enough food and drink for a few days.
Take some time today to appreciate all that you have, all you can do, and the people in your life that make it so special. Grab a journal and write it out. Send someone a card or an email. Even better, give them a call and let them know you were thinking of them today.
Check out a post about Advent if you missed it.
God bless. –Barb
